ESPN fires Reynolds -- NY Post, 7/25/06
ESPN yesterday fired analyst Harold Reynolds from Baseball Tonight, sources told The Post. The reason was not immediately known.
The Commish is out indefinitely, Reynolds has been DFA'd (presumably for eating Chris Berman's lunch or something) -- doesn't look good for Team Baseball Tonight, folks.
Maybe they were trying to fire Joe Morgan instead and picked the wrong former 2B to pink-slip?

On a lighter note, Chickballers Suzie, Beth, and Amy road-tripped down to Cape Cod this weekend to do some advanced scouting on the Hyannis Mets. (Verdict: #20 can crank it, and the view from behind ain't bad.) Before getting down to business, however, we hit the beach and learned to sail.
Or, you know, posed in exaggerated batting stances with the oars.

No more Reynolds? Well there goes my reason for watching the LLWS
oooo views from behind. i'm jealous.
Since I'm Gossip Queen for the day, here's what the CN8 "Sports Pulse" team heard about Reynolds yesterday. First, a "source" said he was canned for sexual harassment. Then last night, some ESPN staffer went on a message board and said this "source" was full of crap and that Reynolds was actually pissed off with A-Rod coverage. The rumor: he refused to go along with whatever ESPN wanted him to say in regards to A-Rod, freaked out on a senior producer, and was fired on the spot.
Veeeery interesting. He will certainly be missed.
